Why a completed task was not paid
A task reward is added to your balance only after the task is successfully completed and confirmed.
Sometimes a task may feel completed from your side, but it is not paid because it is still waiting for review, the required action was not fully completed, or TaskPulse could not verify the result.
First, check what type of task it was
Different earning sections use different confirmation methods:
- Custom Tasks are reviewed manually by the advertiser before payment.
- Surf & Watch tasks are checked automatically after the required timer finishes.
- Social Tasks are verified through TaskPulse systems and the Task Verifier browser extension.
Understanding the task type is the fastest way to understand why payment has not appeared.
1. The task is still waiting for advertiser review
This applies to Custom Tasks.
After you submit a Custom Task, the advertiser must review your result. Until the advertiser approves it, the reward is not added to your earnings balance.
This means the task may be submitted, but not yet paid.
If the advertiser decides that the work does not meet the task requirements, the submission may be rejected instead of approved.
2. The task requirements were not completed exactly
TaskPulse pays only for valid completions. If even one required step is missed, the task may not be accepted or verified.
Common examples include:
- Closing a Surf & Watch task before the timer finishes
- Leaving the required page too early
- Submitting incomplete or incorrect proof for a Custom Task
- Performing a different social action than the one requested
- Using the wrong profile, post, or target page
Before starting any task, read what is required and complete it exactly as described.
3. A timer-based task did not finish successfully
For Surf & Watch tasks, the reward is credited only after the required session is completed correctly.
If the timer does not finish, the page is closed too early, or the completion check cannot be finalized, the task is not paid.
To avoid this, keep the task page open until TaskPulse confirms that the session has been completed.
4. A Social Task could not be verified
Social Tasks require the TaskPulse Task Verifier browser extension.
The extension helps TaskPulse confirm that you completed the requested action, such as a follow, like, repost, upvote, or another supported social interaction.
A Social Task may not be paid if:
- The required action was not actually completed
- The action was performed on the wrong account, post, or page
- The verification flow was interrupted before completion
- TaskPulse could not confirm the result successfully

5. The task was already unavailable by the time it was completed
Task availability changes in real time. Other freelancers may complete the remaining available actions while you are browsing or preparing to start.
TaskPulse checks availability during the task flow. If a campaign can no longer accept a new valid completion, the reward may not be credited.
To better understand this, read Why tasks appear and disappear .
6. The task was rejected after manual review
This applies only to Custom Tasks.
An advertiser may reject a submitted task if the result does not match the requirements, the proof is missing or unclear, or the requested action was not completed properly.
A rejected Custom Task is not paid. To reduce the risk of rejection, carefully read the task description before starting and submit complete, accurate proof when required.
Paid only means successfully confirmed
On TaskPulse, “completed” does not simply mean that you clicked through the task flow or tried to do the action. It means the result was successfully confirmed by the relevant verification method.
- Custom Tasks - confirmed by advertiser approval
- Surf & Watch - confirmed after successful timer-based completion
- Social Tasks - confirmed through TaskPulse verification systems and the Task Verifier extension
What should I do if I believe a task should have been paid?
First, check the task type and the most likely reason above. In many cases, the task is still under review, was not fully completed, or could not be verified.
If you believe a technical issue occurred, contact TaskPulse Support and provide the task details so the situation can be checked.
