The extension is installed, but TaskPulse does not detect it
If TaskPulse does not detect the Task Verifier extension, you may see a popup asking you to install it when you open Social Tasks.
This can happen even if you already installed the extension, usually because the extension is disabled, the page needs to be refreshed, browser access is limited, or the browser does not fully support Chrome Web Store extensions.
First, make sure the extension is required for what you are doing
TaskPulse Task Verifier is required only for Social Tasks.
If the extension is not detected, TaskPulse will not show the list of available Social Tasks and will show a popup asking you to install the extension.
The extension is not required for:
- Custom Tasks - these are checked manually by the advertiser
- Surf & Watch - these are checked automatically after the timer finishes
1. Make sure the official extension is installed
Install TaskPulse Task Verifier only from the official Chrome Web Store page:
TaskPulse Task Verifier on Chrome Web Store
If you installed something from another source, remove it and install the official Chrome Web Store version.
2. Check that the extension is enabled
Open your browser extensions page and make sure TaskPulse Task Verifier is enabled.
In Chrome, you can usually do this by opening the extensions menu near the address bar or by visiting your browser's extensions settings.
If the extension is disabled, enable it, then return to TaskPulse and refresh the page.
3. Refresh TaskPulse after installation
If you installed the extension while TaskPulse was already open, the page may not detect it immediately.
After installation:
- Return to the TaskPulse tab
- Refresh the page
- Open Social Tasks again
In many cases, a simple page refresh is enough.
4. Check the extension site access
Browser settings may limit where an extension is allowed to work. If TaskPulse Task Verifier does not have the required site access, TaskPulse may not detect it correctly or Social Task verification may fail.
Open the extension details in your browser and check the Site access setting.
Chrome may show a setting such as:
- On all sites
- On specific sites
- When you click the extension
For Social Tasks, the extension needs enough access to work during the verification flow on TaskPulse and supported social platforms.
If site access is too limited, change it to the required access level, then refresh TaskPulse.
5. Make sure you are using a supported browser
TaskPulse Task Verifier is distributed through the Chrome Web Store. It is intended for Chrome and compatible desktop browsers that support Chrome Web Store extensions.
If your browser does not support Chrome Web Store extensions properly, TaskPulse may not detect the extension.
If possible, try using the latest desktop version of Google Chrome or another Chromium-based browser with Chrome Web Store extension support.
6. Avoid private or incognito mode unless the extension is enabled there
Some browsers disable extensions in private or incognito windows by default.
If you are using TaskPulse in an incognito window, the extension may not be active there. Open TaskPulse in a normal browser window, or enable the extension for incognito mode in your browser settings if you know what you are doing.
7. Restart the browser
If the extension is installed and enabled but TaskPulse still does not detect it, close the browser completely and open it again.
Then open Social Tasks and check whether the extension is detected.
8. Reinstall the extension if needed
If none of the steps above help, remove TaskPulse Task Verifier from your browser and install it again from the official Chrome Web Store page:
Reinstall TaskPulse Task Verifier
After reinstalling, refresh TaskPulse and return to Social Tasks.
What should happen when the extension is detected?
When TaskPulse detects the extension correctly, you can open Social Tasks and see available social task categories instead of the installation popup.
You can then choose a category, open an available task, complete the required social action, and let TaskPulse verify the result.
When should I contact support?
Contact TaskPulse Support if:
- The official extension is installed and enabled
- You refreshed the page and restarted the browser
- The extension has the required site access
- You are using a supported desktop browser
- TaskPulse still shows the installation popup
When contacting support, mention that the issue is related to TaskPulse Task Verifier detection and describe what you already tried.
