Automatically verified tasks vs manually reviewed tasks

TaskPulse uses different verification methods for different task types.

Some tasks are checked automatically by TaskPulse systems, while others are reviewed manually by the advertiser. Understanding the difference helps freelancers know when rewards are credited and helps advertisers choose the right campaign type.

Two main verification types

TaskPulse tasks can usually be divided into two main verification groups:

  1. Automatically verified tasks - checked by TaskPulse systems after the required action is completed
  2. Manually reviewed tasks - checked by the advertiser after the freelancer submits proof or a report

The verification method depends on the campaign type selected by the advertiser.

Automatically verified tasks

Automatically verified tasks are checked by TaskPulse systems instead of being reviewed manually by the advertiser.

This does not mean every attempt is paid automatically. It means the task must pass the required verification flow before the reward is credited.

Automatically verified tasks may include:

  1. Surf & Watch tasks, such as website visits and video watching
  2. Social Tasks such as follows, likes, reposts, upvotes, comments, and subscriptions

How Surf & Watch verification works

Surf & Watch tasks are verified after the required timer or viewing condition is completed.

For example, a freelancer may need to stay on a website or watch content for the required time. When the timer finishes successfully, TaskPulse can confirm the completion and credit the reward.

The TaskPulse Task Verifier extension is not required for Surf & Watch tasks.

You can open Surf & Watch here: https://taskpul.se/tasks/surfing/.

How Social Task verification works

Social Tasks are completed on supported external social platforms.

Because the action happens outside the TaskPulse website, Social Tasks require the TaskPulse Task Verifier browser extension.

The extension helps TaskPulse verify that the required social action was completed correctly.

Social Tasks may include:

  1. Following an account
  2. Liking a post or page
  3. Reposting or sharing supported content
  4. Upvoting supported content
  5. Leaving a comment when comments are available and allowed
  6. Subscribing to supported profiles or channels

If the extension is not installed or not detected, TaskPulse will not show the list of available Social Tasks and will ask the freelancer to install the extension.

You can open Social Tasks here: https://taskpul.se/tasks/social/.

Manually reviewed tasks

Manually reviewed tasks are checked by the advertiser, not automatically accepted by TaskPulse.

On TaskPulse, this applies to Custom Tasks.

A freelancer opens a Custom Task, follows the advertiser's instructions, completes the work, and submits a report or proof.

The advertiser then reviews the submission and decides whether to approve or reject it.

How Custom Task review works

Custom Tasks are useful when the advertiser needs something more flexible than a standard automatic category.

For example, Custom Tasks may include:

  1. Sign-ups
  2. App installs
  3. Reviews
  4. Website actions
  5. Small custom instructions
  6. Tasks that require written proof or a report

The freelancer is paid only if the advertiser approves the submitted result.

The TaskPulse Task Verifier extension is not required for Custom Tasks.

You can open Custom Tasks here: https://taskpul.se/tasks/simple/.

Comparison table

Task type Verification method Extension required? Who confirms completion?
Custom Tasks Manual review No Advertiser
Surf & Watch Automatic timer-based verification No TaskPulse systems
Social Tasks Automatic verification with Task Verifier support Yes TaskPulse systems and Task Verifier

When is the reward credited?

Reward timing depends on the task type.

  1. Custom Tasks - paid after the advertiser approves the submitted result
  2. Surf & Watch - paid after successful timer-based completion
  3. Social Tasks - paid after successful verification through TaskPulse systems and the Task Verifier extension

If a task is rejected, fails verification, or cannot be confirmed, the reward is not credited.

For freelancers: what this means

Before starting a task, check how it will be verified.

  1. For Custom Tasks, read the instructions carefully and submit clear proof
  2. For Surf & Watch, keep the page open until the timer finishes
  3. For Social Tasks, make sure the Task Verifier extension is installed and detected

Completing the task flow is not enough by itself. The task must be confirmed by the correct verification method.

For advertisers: what this means

Choose the campaign type based on how you want completions to be checked.

  1. Use Custom Tasks if you need manual proof and want to review submissions yourself
  2. Use Surf & Watch for website visits or video watching with timer-based verification
  3. Use Social Tasks for supported social actions that can be verified through TaskPulse systems

If your campaign requires custom instructions, manual judgment, or proof review, a Custom Task is usually the better choice.

If your campaign needs a standard supported action, a Social or Surfing category is usually better.

Common misunderstanding

“Automatically verified” does not mean “always paid”.

It means the task is checked by TaskPulse systems. If the action is incomplete, performed on the wrong target, interrupted, or cannot be verified, the task may still fail.

“Manually reviewed” does not mean “slow by default”. It means the advertiser must approve the submitted result before the freelancer is paid.
