Why some links or content cannot be accepted
Some links or content cannot be accepted on TaskPulse because the campaign target must be available, supported, and possible to verify.
If TaskPulse cannot open, recognize, parse, or verify the target correctly, the campaign may not be shown to freelancers. This protects advertisers from poor delivery and protects freelancers from tasks that cannot be completed successfully.
Why TaskPulse checks campaign links
Before a campaign can receive completions, TaskPulse must understand what the target is and whether the selected category matches it.
For example, TaskPulse may need to check whether the link points to the correct type of content, whether the content is public, and whether the required action can actually be completed.
If the target is invalid or unavailable, the campaign cannot be delivered correctly.
Common reasons a link cannot be accepted
- The URL is broken or typed incorrectly
- The page or content was deleted
- The profile, post, video, or page is private
- The content requires login or special access
- The content is blocked in some regions
- The target does not match the selected campaign category
- The platform removed, restricted, or hidden the content
- The page redirects to an unrelated or unsupported target
- The content cannot be parsed or recognized by TaskPulse
- The required action is not available on the target page
Social Tasks: target media must be valid
For Social Tasks, TaskPulse checks the target media when the advertiser creates a campaign.
This check helps confirm that the URL belongs to the selected platform and category, and that the required social action can be delivered.
A Social Task may fail this check if:
- The social profile is closed, private, deleted, or restricted
- The post, comment, video, or page no longer exists
- The URL points to the wrong type of content for the selected category
- The target content cannot receive the required action
- The social platform blocks access to the content
- TaskPulse cannot identify the target media correctly
If the target media cannot be parsed or accepted, the campaign may be moved to the Deleted / failed campaigns tab in your campaign list and will not be shown to freelancers.
You can manage Social and Surfing campaigns here: https://taskpul.se/campaigns/social-activities/ .
The selected category must match the target
The campaign category and the target URL must match each other.
For example:
- An Instagram followers campaign should point to an Instagram profile that can be followed
- A post likes campaign should point to a post that can receive likes
- A comment campaign should point to content where comments are enabled
- An upvote campaign should point to content that can receive upvotes
- A website visit campaign should point to a working public webpage
If you choose the wrong category, TaskPulse may not be able to deliver or verify the campaign correctly.
To choose the right category, read How to choose the right category for your campaign .
Comment campaigns need available comments
If you create a comment campaign, the target content must allow comments.
A comment campaign may fail or stop delivering if:
- Comments are disabled
- The comment section is closed or limited
- The platform hides comments from some users
- The content owner changes comment settings after campaign creation
- The content becomes private, deleted, or restricted
Freelancers cannot complete a comment task if the platform does not allow them to leave the required comment.
Website visits and surfing campaigns need accessible pages
For website visits and surfing campaigns, the target page must be accessible to freelancers.
A website link may not work correctly if:
- The website is down or loads too slowly
- The page returns an error
- The page requires login before it can be viewed
- The page redirects too many times
- The page blocks users from certain countries
- The page opens unrelated content or unsafe downloads
If freelancers cannot open the page normally, they may not be able to complete the task successfully.
Custom Tasks are more flexible, but still need clear and valid targets
Custom Tasks allow more flexible instructions because the advertiser reviews submitted results manually.
However, the task still needs to be clear, possible, and safe to complete.
A Custom Task may cause problems if:
- The instructions are unclear or impossible to follow
- The target website or app does not work
- The task asks freelancers to access unavailable content
- The proof requirements are confusing
- The task conflicts with TaskPulse rules
Clear instructions and a working target URL help freelancers complete the task correctly and reduce rejected submissions.
What happens if a campaign fails the check?
If TaskPulse cannot accept the campaign target, the campaign may not enter normal delivery.
For Social Tasks, a campaign with invalid or unrecognized target media may be moved to the Deleted / failed campaigns tab and will not be shown to freelancers.
This prevents freelancers from wasting time on a task that cannot be completed or verified.
How to avoid rejected or failed campaign targets
- Use a public and working URL
- Choose the exact category that matches your target
- Make sure the profile, post, video, comment, or page is not private or deleted
- Check that the required action is available before creating the campaign
- Do not use links that require special access, login, or approval
- Avoid redirected URLs when a direct target URL is available
- For Custom Tasks, write clear instructions and proof requirements
What should I do if my campaign was moved to Deleted / failed campaigns?
First, check the target URL and the selected category.
Make sure the content is public, active, and suitable for the action you selected. If the target was deleted, made private, or blocked by the social platform, create a new campaign with a valid target.
If the content looks valid but the campaign still failed, contact TaskPulse Support and mention the campaign type and target URL so the issue can be checked.
