I found an abusive or impossible task - what should I do?
If you find a task that looks abusive, unsafe, misleading, or impossible to complete, do not try to force it.
Skip the task and contact TaskPulse Support if the issue should be reviewed. TaskPulse wants freelancers to complete valid tasks only, and advertisers should create tasks that are clear, possible, and allowed by the platform rules.
What counts as an impossible task?
An impossible task is a task that cannot be completed correctly because the required action is not available, the target does not work, or the instructions cannot be followed.
Common examples include:
- The target link is broken or unavailable
- The profile, post, page, video, or comment is deleted
- The content is private or restricted
- The required action is not available on the target page
- Comments are closed for a comment task
- The website does not load or shows an error
- The task instructions are unclear or contradictory
- The task asks for something that cannot be verified
What counts as an abusive task?
An abusive task is a task that violates platform rules, creates risk for users, or asks freelancers to do something inappropriate.
Examples may include tasks that ask users to:
- Submit fake or misleading proof
- Use bots, scripts, or automation
- Break the rules of TaskPulse or a third-party platform
- Promote illegal, harmful, abusive, or deceptive content
- Share passwords, private account data, or sensitive personal information
- Complete actions that are not described clearly before starting
- Visit unsafe, malicious, or suspicious websites
If a task looks unsafe or abusive, do not complete it.
If comments are closed
For comment tasks, the target content must allow comments.
If comments are closed, disabled, hidden, or limited, skip or decline the task. Do not try to complete it on another post or another page.
TaskPulse automatically checks and cleans up tasks that can no longer be completed. After some time, tasks with unavailable comment sections may be removed by the automated cleanup system.
If the provided comment is not acceptable to you
Some comment tasks may provide a specific comment text.
You are not required to publish a comment if it conflicts with your beliefs, values, personal boundaries, or the laws of your country.
If you are not comfortable publishing the provided comment, simply skip or decline the task and choose another one.
If the target link is broken or unavailable
If the target page does not open, shows an error, is private, deleted, blocked, or restricted, the task may not be possible to complete or verify.
Do not complete the task on a different URL. TaskPulse verification is tied to the target provided in the task flow.
Completing the action somewhere else may fail verification and will not count as a valid completion.
If the task instructions are unclear
If you do not understand what the task asks you to do, do not guess.
For Custom Tasks, unclear instructions can lead to rejection by the advertiser. For Social Tasks, performing the wrong action may cause verification failure.
Skip the task if the instructions are impossible to follow or do not match the target.
Should I still try to complete the task?
No. If a task is clearly impossible, abusive, unsafe, or against the rules, do not complete it.
Trying to force an invalid task can waste your time and may lead to failed verification, rejected submissions, or no reward.
It is better to skip the task and choose another available task from the Earning Hub.
How to report the issue
If the task should be reviewed, contact TaskPulse Support and explain what is wrong.
Include useful details such as:
- The task type
- The task or campaign ID, if visible
- The target URL, if visible
- A short explanation of why the task is impossible or abusive
- A screenshot, if it helps show the problem
You do not need to provide your country, IP address, or browser details unless support specifically asks for something extra.
For advertisers: avoid creating impossible tasks
Advertisers should make sure their tasks are clear, possible, and allowed by the platform rules.
Before launching a campaign, check that:
- The target URL works
- The target content is public and available
- The selected category matches the required action
- Comments are enabled for comment campaigns
- Instructions are clear and realistic
- The task does not violate the TaskPulse Terms of Service
The full platform rules are available here: https://taskpul.se/docs/terms-of-service/
What happens after a task is reported?
TaskPulse may review the task and take action if needed.
Depending on the issue, a task may be removed, moved to a failed status, cleaned up automatically, or left active if no problem is found.
Support may not always provide detailed internal review results, but reports help keep the marketplace cleaner for both freelancers and advertisers.
Important takeaway
If a task is abusive, unsafe, unclear, or impossible to complete, skip it.
Do not use a different target, do not submit fake proof, and do not try to force an action that cannot be completed. Report the issue to support if the task should be reviewed.
